Volunteer
Exhibit Animal Curator
Learn to provide comprehensive care to our resident animal ambassadors in the exhibit room.
Do you enjoy caring for birds, reptiles, and/or insects? We would love to speak with you about providing high quality care for our non-releasable wildlife. Duties include diet preparation, enclosure maintenance, and enrichment provision (interesting things for the animals to experience). No prior experience necessary, but we do require that you:
- Are at least 12 years of age if working only with SAC staff. IF under 12, parents or guardians must always be present to supervise during shift.
- Have your own transportation to the Sharon Audubon Center.
- Can lift 10 lbs.
- Are willing to work with all our exhibit animals (even if this means starting slowly with your least favorite(s)!).
If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity or would like to learn more, please contact us at the Sharon Audubon Center.
